The following instructions are for the Samsung model ITP-5121D voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) telephone:

To register an IP phone, you need three pieces of information:
1. The IP address of the server (phone system).
2. The system ID of the phone (typically the extension number).
3. The password

If you do not have this information, contact the Telephone Warehouse service department and request them.

Once you have these three pieces of information, follow these instructions to register your ITP5121D telephone:

  1. Unplug the power cord out of the bottom of the phone. If the phone is not using a power cord and is instead using power-over-ethernet, unplug the ethernet cable to disconnect power from the phone.
  2. Press and hold the MENU button on the phone. While holding this button, restore power to the phone. Keep holding the MENU button until the phone comes back up in a setup mode (it will say BOOT SETUP MENU), then release the MENU button.
  3. Select option 1 - System Easy Setup wizard. Press the ENTER key in the center of the round dial on the phone.
  4. You will see a screen that says "SYSTEM EASY SETUP START, PRES OK WHEN SELECTED." Press ENTER to begin setup.
  5. You will be prompted to select MANUAL IP or DHCP mode. Press 2 for DHCP mode. Screen will say "DHCP MODE SELECTED, PRESS OK". Press ENTER to accept.
  6. You will be prompted to enter the server IP address. The current setting will be shown. If this is correct, press ENTER. If this is not correct, press the left arrow button on the round navigation keypad to erase the current setting. Enter the new IP address, using the * as a period. Example: to enter  IP address 68.14.252.2, you would enter 68*14*252*2. Press ENTER when complete.
  7. You will be prompted to input the SYSTEM ID of the phone. This is typically the extension number of the phone, i.e., 3212. Enter this user ID and press ENTER.
  8. You will be prompted to input the SYSTEM PASSWORD. Enter the password and then press ENTER.
  9. You will see a display that reads "EASY INSTALL IS END, PLEASE PRESS OK FOR REBOOT". Press ENTER and the phone will reboot with the new settings.
