- In Outlook, open an email message that has a fax attachment.
- Right click on the file attachment, i.e., part1.tif, and select the option " Save As..."
- Save the file in your "My Documents" folder and make note of the file name. On an Amanda Voice Server system, the file name should be "part1.tif". On a Samsung SVMi system, the file name should be "nnnnnnnn.tif", where nnnnnnnn is a sequential number.
- If you get a message saying that the file already exists, select "Yes" to replace the existing file.
- Close the email window and minimize Outlook and all other windows so that you are looking at your Windows Desktop.
- Open your My Documents folder and find the file you saved in step 3. Right click on the file and select "Open With" and then select "Choose Program".
- Click once on "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" to select it. Then click on "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" so that this box is checked. Then click on OK.
- The fax document will open, but just close it for now, and also close your My Documents folder.
- Return to Outlook and open an email message with a fax attachment. Double click on the attached file and the fax should now open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and should be viewable and printable.
