How can I move phones on my Samsung DCS Digital Communication System? Print E-mail

Description:
The SET RELOCATION feature allows the end-user to easily swap all related programming between two extensions. Extension number, name, class of service, speed dialing and all other associated features are swapped between the two affected stations.

System Requirements:
This feature is available on the following systems:

  • Samsung DCS - software version 3.0 and later.
  • Samsung DCS50si – all software versions.
  • Samsung DCS400si – all software versions.
  • Samsung iDCS100 – all software versions.
  • Samsung iDCS500 – all software versions.
  • Samsung OfficeServ 7200 - all software versions.

Station Requirements:
Both phones must be plugged in and working, and must be idle. The SET RELOCATION program cannot be performed from either one of the affected phones, it must be performed from a separate display telephone. Both phones being swapped should be the same type, or else the feature will not have the desired results.

Instructions:
Part 1 – Open technician-level programming.

  1. Press TRSF button.
  2. Dial 800
  3. Dial technician-level programming passcode.
  4. Dial 1.
  5. Press TRSF button.

Part 2 – Perform Set Relocation Function

  1. Press TRSF button.
  2. Dial 315
  3. Dial extension number of first phone to be swapped.
  4. Dial extension number of second phone to be swapped.
  5. Press TRSF button.

Procedure is complete all associated programming between the two affected telephones is swapped in an instant.
