This position offers a base wage of $14 - $17 per hour.
This is a non-exempt position and overtime may be available.

Overview: This position provides field technical services in the installation and maintenance of voice and data cabling systems. Responsibilities include: rough installation of unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) and fiber optic cable; installation of jacks and connectors; termination on patch panels and connecting blocks; assembly / installation of data equipment racks and related equipment / hardware; testing; troubleshooting; overseeing work of associate technicians; interfacing with customers and other jobsite personnel; operating a company-owned vehicle; using company-owned tools and test-equipment; completing administrative and technical documentation.

Qualifications: A minimum of three years experience in the installation of voice and data cabling systems; experience with standard practices of installation of Cat6, Cat5e, Cat5, and Cat3 wiring standards; factory certifications with various wiring systems are a plus; certification and experience with fiber optic cable is a plus; working knowledge of PC operation, specifically regarding data communications and basic networking. Ability to establish priorities, follow instructions, and complete assignments on time. Also ability to work under limited supervision, organize and manage a varied work load with changing priorities and tight deadlines, establish effective working relationships with customers and management, support staff, and peers, have a high degree of tact and good judgement; and have good communication skills.
